I’ve known Bernadine Zimmerman for many years. We met on the Christian blogging sphere when she lived in the Bahamas and wrote for my online magazine, Sanctified Together. She is now married and living in my home state of Texas! She sent me her working manuscript several months ago, and I gave her some edits and insights.

She has since completed and edited that manuscript for publication, and I’m thrilled to introduce her book and Bible study for young ladies, Becoming His Dream Girl!

I’ve read this book many times, and I know it will touch the lives of young women around the world. This study is youthful, relevant and full of truth. Young women need to know that there is a personal God who loves and adores them. Our Heavenly Father seeks a relationship with all of His young ladies, and He desires to know them intimately.

Bernadine uses biblical and personal illustrations to help young women see their value in Jesus Christ and walk in the love God has for them. She also includes creative assignments that incorporate spiritual truths into personal and fun activities.

I am buying this book for every young lady in my family because I know it will guide their relationship with Jesus and further their intimacy with Him. This book is a great gift for birthday, Christmas and/or any special occasion in a young lady’s life.

Bernadine lays out the plan of salvation and exemplifies a life fully in love with the Lord! Give Becoming His Dream Girl to the young ladies in your life and watch Jesus’ love transform them!

Bernadine Zimmerman believes that young ladies need consistent, positive female mentors in their lives and has had the privilege to fill that role for many young ladies. Her sisters were her role models growing up and they inspired in her the desire to be the same for other young ladies.

Highlighting the positive in the lives of young ladies is important to Bernadine. To encourage and motivate teens she founded and published a quarterly magazine, Keeping it Real Girl Talk, an inspirational magazine specifically for teen girls. She did this between 2000-2010. Each issue of the magazine featured a young lady who was a positive role model in her school and community.

Bernadine has a Bachelor’s Degree in primary Education and taught primary school for sixteen years. She also taught Sunday School for over ten years and often facilitated girls only Sunday School classes where they talked about issues relating to young ladies. Bernadine has also been a speaker at Girl’s Clubs and events and hosted Girl Talk weekends at her home with 4-6 girls at a time. Her message whether written or spoken is always meant to encourage and inspire young women to trust God with their lives and follow their dreams.

This small-town island girl from the beautiful island of Grand Bahama left her island paradise over two years ago, to marry the love of her life, Mark. She now calls the huge state of Texas home. A quietly opinionated bookworm, Bernadine loves family, friends, coffee, laughter, Jesus, and red lipstick, just not necessarily in that order.
