The Struggle
“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17.21 KJB).
The struggle on this earth causes us to reach out into the supernatural, beyond the natural world, in search for God. Without God, there is no good, no perfection, no love, no peace and no joy. Since all of us have sinned, we are separated from God because He is perfectly holy. We live in an imperfect world filled with heartache, pain and sorrow. But it is our struggle that ignites our need for a savior. It is the imperfect womb of earth that gives us eternal eyes of heaven. Every heartache creates in us a desire for God’s healing. Every pain creates in us a need for God’s peace. Every sorrow creates in us a yearning for God’s joy. Without these struggles, we would not cling onto Jesus. We grasp the Cross, knowing that we can attain God’s goodness on earth. The Holy Spirit dwells in each person who has been saved by grace through the Work of Jesus on the Cross. We have heaven on earth because God’s Kingdom is in each of us.
“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (Romans 5.3-5 ESV).
